Best George Clooney Films

The Descendants (2011): A story about a father's relationship with his two daughters, written and directed by Alexander Payne (Sideways). Clooney was nominated for a best actor Oscar.

The Ides Of March (2011): Dirty politics is the focus of this movie co-starring Ryan Gosling and Philip Seymour Hoffman.


Up In The Air (2009):  Latest film by writer / director Jason Reitman (Juno). Another best actor Oscar nomination.

Syriana (2005): CIA intrigue in the middle east. George won the Oscar for best supporting actor.

Good Night, Good Luck (2005): A movie about TV journalist Edward R. Murrow taking on communist witch-hunter Joesph McCarthy. Clooney also wrote and directed this film.

Ocean's Eleven (2001): Remake of the Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin movie. George is surrounded by an all-star cast that includes Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia and Julia Roberts.

The Perfect Storm (2000): The crew of a fishing boat on their final trip. Co-Starring Mark Wahlberg and Diane Lane.

O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000): The Coen brothers re-make Homer's "The Odyssey" and set it in 1930's depression era American south. The soundtrack album to this movie became an unexpected smash hit.

Three Kings (1999): A comedy about some American soldiers stealing gold during the first gulf war. Sort of an update of Kelly's Heroes.

Out Of Sight (1998): Steven Soderbergh's version of the Elmore Leonard novel about the romantic relationship between a bank robber and a U.S. Marshall. Co-stars Jennifer Lopez.
